A 26-year-old Toronto man faces a slew of charges following a shooting at a nightclub in Yorkville that sent five people to hospital early Sunday morning.
It happened at Empire nightclub on Cumberland Street, near Bay and Bloor streets, at around 2:30 a.m.
Police say some of the victims were located at the scene, while others made it to hospital on their own.
All sustained non-life-threatening gunshot wounds, police say.
Jermaine Morgan, of Toronto, faces 16 charges including five counts of aggravated assault, five counts of discharging a firearm endangering life and carrying a concealed weapon.
He is scheduled to appear in court Monday morning.
