First he sold bobbleheads to raise money for the fight against cancer and now Rob Ford is belting out high notes.

The Ward 2 councillor, who is currently battling a rare and aggressive form of soft tissue cancer, recently joined 11 other singers to record vocals for a new song which raises money for the Canadian Cancer Society and the Rainbow Association of Canadian Artists.

The song, titled “Not My Time,” won’t be released until June 22 but a music video featuring Ford has already been posted online.

In it the former mayor is seen in a recording booth singing ‘It’s not my time” as the music cuts out.

In a press release issued on Wednesday evening Ford said he won’t be quitting his day job any time soon but urged “everyone to put their politics aside and stand behind the causes the song represents."

The song is available for pre-order at the following site.
