Video has emerged of what appears to show security guards beating and kicking someone during an incident outside a Brampton mall.
The video, shot outside the Bramalea City Centre, shows security guards as they try to arrest a suspect.
In the video, one of the guards can be seen kicking and kneeing the man repeatedly as he is detained on the ground.
The undated video does not show the circumstances that lead to the arrest.
Since being posted on Facebook, the video has been viewed 70,000 times.
The man who filmed the incident, who asked not to be identified, told CTV News that he started filming after he heard the commotion.
Bramalea City Centre representatives said the suspect was arrested and charged with theft and assault, but would not provide additional details.
Peel police would not confirm whether the man had in fact been arrested and charged.
