Transit riders crowded City Hall on Wednesday to express their frustration with Premier Dalton McGuinty for cutting funding to Toronto's "Transit City" project.

Council chambers were packed in the evening with transit riders and community representatives from across Toronto.

They launched the "Public Transit Coalition," and demanding McGuinty build "Transit City" and support public transit.

Coalition member Jamie Kirkpatrick says commuters are tired of waiting for a good transit system.

Meanwhile, Mayor David Miller is still pushing the province on the project saying there are pricey consequences to putting the plan on hold.
