CP24.com readers were asked to share their Remembrance Day stories with us, whether they participated in the war or grew up with a loved one in service. These are their memories and the photos that have defined their experience.

Memories

This is my grandfather Leo Senior. He fought in the Second World War. He was only 17 and he lied about his age so he could fight for his country!

He was wounded at battle and was shot in the leg. In the photo he was battling in France. I remember him telling us that he has never forgotten what he had seen and it haunted him every night until he passed away on November 1, 2007.

He was a brave man to our family and will be dearly missed!
