The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has added three more varieties of packaged meat to the list of products that may have been tampered with at a No Frills store in Guelph.

The agency is now advising consumers to avoid Schneiders Light 55% Less Fat Wieners, Schneiders Original Juicy Jumbos and Schneiders Hot 'n' Spicy Juicy Jumbos, a day after it warned of six other products that had been found with sewing needles stuck in their packages.

The identical 50-millimetre needles were discovered in several packages of prepared meat sold at the Silvercreek Parkway store. No one has reported injuries related to the tampered-with products.

Police say customers should inspect similar foods for any tampering. They say they don't know if any other products or stores have been targeted, noting it currently appears limited to only one No Frills location.

Anyone with information should call Guelph police at 519-824-1212, ext. 222.
