WINDSOR, Ont. - Retired Detroit Red Wings defenceman Chris Chelios will lead a motorcycle ride in memory of teammate Bob Probert.
The inaugural Bob Probert Memorial Ride will begin at Detroit's Joe Louis Arena, cross into Windsor and continue into southwestern Ontario.
Funds raised by the June 26th ride will support the angioplasty program at Hotel-Dieu Grace hospital in Windsor, Probert's hometown.
Probert played for the Detroit Red Wings and the Chicago Blackhawks.
He died last summer after suffering a heart attack while boating on Lake St. Clair with his family.
