A 78-year-old woman is in serious condition after being struck by a car allegedly driven by a young driver in Scarborough.
The victim was hit on Lebovic Avenue, near Eglinton and Warden Avenues. The woman is in hospital with head and pelvis injuries.
The suspect is a young woman who left the scene of the accident. She returned a short time later.
She is now under arrest and facing charges. Police have closed off the street for a full reconstruction of the accident.
