TORONTO - Michael Jackson fans are expected to line up at movie theatres across Canada tonight to see "This Is It."

The film chronicles the late King of Pop's preparations for a series of planned shows in London.

Midnight screenings are planned in cities across Ontario as well as in Vancouver, Montreal and Calgary.

Director Kenny Ortega promises the film will showcase a different side of Jackson. He says it'll give fans the chance to see that the singer was the "creative genius" behind all of his stage concepts.

Jackson was planning on performing 50 shows at London's O2 Arena. He died of a drug overdose in June.

"This Is It" was culled from the 100-plus hours of footage shot during rehearsals for those shows.
