TORONTO - "Flashpoint" star Enrico Colantoni is going from cop to cannon doll.

The actor, who plays the leader of an elite police force on the CTV series, will guest as a cannon doll in the National Ballet of Canada's production of "The Nutcracker" on Dec. 21.

The ballet company usually recruits two celebrities to make cameos as comical cannon dolls in each "Nutcracker" show at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts.

The stars have to don clown-like costumes and appear onstage as a cannon goes off in the first act, which is set in a winter wonderland in 19th-century Russia.

Other celebs set to fill out the roles this year include "Degrassi" stars Charlotte Arnold and Raymond Ablack, HGTV design guru Sarah Richardson, Food Network host Anna Olson and CBC funnyman Ron James.

Toronto Argonauts Adriano Belli and Andre Durie will play canon dolls in opening show this Saturday.

"The Nutcracker" runs at the Four Seasons Centre Saturday through Jan. 2.
