Okay, if we're being honest, this recipe is a specialty not of CP24's George Lagogianes but his lovely wife Mary. Either way, we're grateful she made them. Here's the recipe:

Ingredients

  • 2lbs of ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • 1 onion
  • 2 tablespoons of oregano
  • 1 tablespoon of paprika
  • 1 table spoon of olive oil
  • 1/4 cup of bread crumbs
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Half a teaspoon of ouzo

Mix all of the above together and then make round balls the diameter of a toonie.

Roll each meat ball in flour very lightly and place in a sauce pan with olive oil and fry each meat ball until it becomes a golden brown colour. Remove them from the sauce pan and place in a bowl lined with paper towel to absorb the excess oil.
