GO Transit customers will soon enjoy enhanced service along the Milton corridor.

Citing increased demand, GO Transit has announced that it's adding a weekday morning and afternoon train trip along its Milton corridor route beginning June 25.

Two existing Toronto-bound trips will depart five minutes earlier along the route to make way for the new train in the morning while a 3:40 p.m. GO bus trip will be replaced with a new GO train trip.

"Areas served by the Milton corridor have seen an exceptional amount of population and employment growth in recent years, and this will continue," GO President Gary McNeil said in a press release. "This continues to put pressure on our rush hour service. The new train will keep up with our ridership demands."

Passengers can check GO Transit's website for more information on the changes.
