TORONTO - A star-studded cast of internationally recognized Canadians will strut the red carpet in Toronto tonight, but they're not in town for the film festival.

NBA star Steve Nash, filmmaker James Cameron and singer k.d. lang will join be among eight celebrities getting stars at Canada's Walk of Fame in the city's entertainment district.

The 10th annual event will also honour singer-songwriter Bryan Adams, actor Michael J. Fox, supermodel Daria Werbowy, actress Frances Bay and the comedy troupe Kids in the Hall will also be feted.

The glitzy affair honours Canadians who have excelled on the national or international stage through arts, entertainment, sports and innovation.

Cameron says getting some acknowledgment in Canada is always a sweet thing.

Slated to introduce this year's newest members are actress Sigourney Weaver and supermodel Linda Evangelista, while figure skating champ Kurt Browning hosts.
