TORONTO - Josh Smith scored a triple-double with 12 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists Sunday as the Atlanta Hawks handed the Toronto Raptors their second loss in a row, 96-78.
Marvin Williams added 17 points and 12 rebounds for the Hawks (11-7), who led by six at the half but dominated the final two quarters before a crowd of 17,301 at Air Canada Centre.
Joe Johnson and Al Horford each scored 16.
Andrea Bargnani scored 14 and DeMar DeRozan added 13 for the Raptors (6-11), who shot 40 per cent from the field in posting a season-low in points. The previous low was 84, Nov. 6 at Portland.
Toronto played its first game without forward Reggie Evans, who broke his right foot in Friday's loss at Boston.
The Hawks took a 20-point lead into the fourth quarter. DeRozan's driving layup with six minutes left in the game cut the lead to 16 points but Mike Bibby responded with a three-pointer.
Johnson's layup with 4:30 left in the game put the Hawks ahead 92-69.
The Raptors were down by only six points entering the second half but went cold, scoring 11 points on 3-for-17 shooting in the third quarter to fall behind by 20.
The Hawks almost effortlessly had their lead up to 14 points after Bibby hit a three-pointer, Johnson made a seven-foot running jumper and Horford followed with a turnaround jumper with 7:15 left.
Sonny Weems hit a pull-up jumper with five minutes left in the third for Toronto's first points in more than four minutes.
Toronto's woes continued as Williams hit a three and Horford followed with a turnaround hook with 2:26 left to put Atlanta into a 73-53 lead. The Hawks led 77-57 after three quarters.
Horford scored eight points to help the Hawks to a 27-23 advantage after the first quarter as the lead changed hands 12 times and the score was tied twice.
Bargnani led the Raptors with nine points but Toronto's first-quarter highlight was Joey Dorsey's alley-oop layup from an off-balance Jose Calderon pass.
Atlanta led 52-46 at the half. Williams scored nine of his 14 first-half points in the second quarter. Johnson had 12 points at the half and was 5-for-9 from the field.
Bargnani continued to lead Toronto scorers and finished the first half with 12 points.
