TORONTO - The Justin Bieber phenomenon is about to get comical.

The 16-year-old Stratford, Ont., pop star will soon become the topic of a comic book as part of Bluewater Productions' "Fame" series.

The 32-page "Fame: Justin Bieber" promises to tell the young singer's life story, from how he transitioned from a YouTube sensation into a worldwide teen heartthrob.

The comic is being written by Tara Broeckel Ooten with art by Claudio Avella.

Previous instalments of the series focused on Lady Gaga, "Twilight" stars Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner and soccer star David Beckham.

The book will hit comic stores and online retailers in October.
