Durham Regional Police (DRP) are searching for multiple suspects after a man was stabbed in Beaverton on New Year’s Day.
Police say the stabbing happened just before 5 a.m. on Jan. 1 in the area of Mill Street and Bay Street.
They say the male victim was approached by several suspects and after a brief interaction, he was stabbed.
Officers say they then located the male victim almost a half kilometre away near Park Avenue and Osborne Street.
Police told CTV News Toronto they are still trying to determine the exact number of suspects that were involved.
Investigators are asking any witnesses or anyone with video footage or surveillance to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
