Durham police have recovered 16 sets of car keys stolen during a break-and-enter at a business in Oshawa earlier this week.
In a release issued Friday, police said just before 6 a.m. on Feb. 18, Durham Truck Tires at 446 Simcoe Street North near Connaught Street was the victim of a robbery.
Multiple sets of car keys belonging to vehicles parked at the business had been stolen.
On Feb. 20, officers executed a search warrant at a motel on King Street East near Wilson Road South in Oshawa and recovered 16 sets of keys.
All have since been returned to their owners, police added.
Brandon Haynes, 30, of Oshawa has been charged with breaking and entering, possession of stolen property, and failing to comply with probation.
Jerrica Clare, 36, of Clarington is charged with stolen property and two counts of failing to comply with probation.
None of the charges have been tested in court.
Durham police also said an arrest warrant is being issued for a third person but did not share a description or details of their connection to the robbery.
