Police have charged a teenager in connection with the stabbing of a 13-year-old boy in an Oakville park on Saturday afternoon.
Police say they were called to Memorial Park on Oak Park Boulevard at around 4:30 p.m.
The victim was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries but has since been treated and released, police say.
A 15-year-old suspect was arrested on Sunday and charged him with assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose.
Police say that the victim and suspect were known to each other and had arranged to fight in the park.
Police continue to investigate and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
