Halton police are looking for a “suspicious” man who they say approached a group of children in Burlington on Tuesday.

Police say a group of students were walking from school near Spruce Avenue and Meadowhill Road at 3:30 p.m. when the man came up to them and offered them a ride home.

“The children did not stop or speak to the male, and he subsequently left the area on foot,” police said.

“There were no physical injuries, and the male did not make any physical contact with the children.”

The man is described as white, 65 years old, five-foot-five to five-foot-eight, with a heavy build, a hunched posture, and a birthmark on the right side of his face.

He was last seen wearing a blue baseball cap, blue shirt, and grey shorts.

Police are asking anyone who can identify the man to contact them or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
