A woman suffered critical injuries after a collision in Hamilton on Tuesday night, police say.
It happened near Upper Wellington Street and Sirente Drive at around 11:15 p.m.
According to investigators, a Nissan SUV and a Honda Accord collided in the area, leaving a 58-year-old woman with life-threatening injuries. She is currently listed in stable condition.
The other driver involved in the collision, a 19-year-old Hamilton man, suffered only minor injuries, police said.
The reconstruction unit is leading the investigation and remains on scene, police said in a news release.
“The Hamilton Police Service Collision Reconstruction Unit is actively seeking witnesses to this collision and is requesting that any motorists who were travelling in the area at the time review their dash camera footage,” the news release read.
“Residents or businesses with surveillance cameras are also asked to review their footage for any information that may assist investigators.”
Upper Wellington Street is closed in the area while the investigation continues.
