Police release image of suspect in Brampton sex assault

Police are appealing for information after a man allegedly approached a woman under the guise of asking for directions and then proceeded to sexually assault her.


The incident happened near Mclaughlin Road and Bovaird Drive in Brampton at around noon on Sept. 26.


Police say that the victim, a 27-year-old woman, was walking in the area when the suspect first approached her.


It is alleged that the suspect asked the woman for directions and then sexually assaulted her.


The suspect is described as a South Asian male, who is approximately 25 to 30 years old with a slim build, an unshaven face and a black receding hairline. He was last seen wearing a light-coloured Nike T-shirt, black shorts with a vertical white stripe and sandals.


Police are urging anyone with information to contact investigators.
