Police in Peel Region are asking for the public’s help to identify a man who allegedly shot and killed a dog in Brampton earlier this year.
The incident happened on May 5 around Mill Street North and Railroad Street, which is north of Queen Street East and west of Main Street South.
In a news release, Peel Regional Police (PRP) said a male fired a gun, which caused the “unnecessary suffering and death of an animal.”
Police have released a photo of the suspect who appears to be wearing a red and black hooded robe.
They told CTV News Toronto that the animal in question was a dog but wouldn’t provide more details as the investigation is still ongoing.
Anyone with information about the suspect or this investigation is asked to contact PRP’s 22 Division Criminal Investigations Bureau at 905-453-2121, ext. 2233, or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
