A 52-year-old man from Acton, Ont. has died following a four-vehicle collision on Highway 410 in Mississauga.
Paramedics said they attended the scene and performed life-saving measures on a driver, an adult male, whom they transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
They indicated that the issue was not related to driving, and may have possibly been medically related, although that has yet to be confirmed.
The OPP also said they are investigating if the driver who died experienced a “medical event.”
No other injuries were reported, EMS said.
Currently, the westbound 401 collector lanes near Highway 410 are closed as police investigate.
Police say all lanes are expected to reopen before 10 p.m.
