Pedestrian seriously injured in midtown Toronto collision

A pedestrian has been taken to the hospital after a collision in midtown Toronto on Wednesday afternoon.

Emergency crews were called to the area of Davenport and Avenue roads around 2:20 p.m. for a collision involving three cars and a pedestrian.

Police say one of the vehicles crashed into a pole.

The pedestrian suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police say.

The cause of the collision is unknown.
