Thick fog blanketed Toronto Tuesday morning, resulting in near-zero visibility.
As a result, the city and the rest of the Greater Toronto Area are under a fog advisory.
“Visibility may temporarily improve this afternoon before conditions worsen again this evening. The fog is expected to lift Wednesday afternoon,” Environment Canada said.
“Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.”
It will be mainly cloudy today with a 60 per cent chance of rain late this afternoon and a high of 7 C.
Environment Canada said the rain is expected to end near midnight.
On Wednesday, it will be cloudy with a 40 per cent chance of rain showers before changing to a 60 per cent chance of flurries in the afternoon. The daytime high will be 5 C.
Sunnier conditions are in the forecast on Thursday but daytime temperatures will dip below 0 C.
