One suspect has been arrested and another remains outstanding following a violent robbery at an apartment in east Toronto.
The incident happened on Dec. 11 near Victoria Park Avenue and Dawes Road, just south of St. Clair Avenue East.
Toronto police aid they were called to that area at about 11:30 for report of a robbery.
Investigators allege that two male suspects forced entered an apartment by force and demanded that the occupants hand over their personal property.
They then allegedly assaulted two victims inside the unit before fleeing.
The victim sustained minor injuries, police said.
On Saturday, Masoud Ebrahimi, 32, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with one count each of break and enter, robbery with violence, forcible confinement, assault,
assault – choking, and fail to comply release order as well as two counts of utter threats cause death. He is scheduled to appear in bail court on Dec. 16.
The outstanding suspect is described as five-foot-six and 40 to 50 years old with a thin build with short hair and unshaven.
