One person has been seriously injured in a shooting on Monday night in Toronto’s north end.

In a post on X, Toronto police said they were called to the area of Clearview Heights and Tretheway Drive, located north of Eglinton Avenue West and east of Black Creek Drive, just before 6:25 p.m.

Paramedics told CP24 the victim was rushed to the hospital in serious, non-life-threatening condition.

The circumstances leading to the shooting are unknown at this time, but police said the suspect, or suspects, drove away from the area.

Police said the roads in the area are closed at this time as they investigate.

This is the second shooting that happened in the area in recent months. In October, a 26-year-old died after being shot in the stairwell of an apartment building on Clearview Heights.
