Pedestrian taken to hospital after being struck by vehicle in Forest Hill

A male pedestrian was rushed to the hospital after being struck by the driver of a vehicle in Toronto’s Forest Hill area Monday night.

The crash happened near Chaplin Crescent and Eglinton Avenue West.

Toronto police said they were called to that area just after 6 p.m. for a collision.

A male was taken to the hospital via trauma run by paramedics, they said.

Paramedics told CTV News that the victim is being taken to a trauma centre in a serious, “likely non-life-threatening” conditon.

The driver remained at the scene.

Investigators have not released information about the circumstances that led to this collision.

Chaplin Crescent is currently closed down from Russel Hill to Warren Road until further notice as police investigate.
