A female suspect is in custody following a stabbing in the city’s downtown core late Thursday night, Toronto police say.
Officers were called to the area of Church and Carleton streets at around 11:30 p.m. for reports of a stabbing inside an apartment building.
When they arrived on scene, police said, officers located a male victim suffering from apparent stab wounds.
He was taken to hospital with serious injuries, police said.
Investigators also confirmed that a female was arrested at the scene but they didn’t not confirm what charges she is facing.
