Three people have been arrested in connection with a shooting near Woodbine Beach last summer that left a 21-year-old Quebec man dead.
On Tuesday, police provided an update on their investigation into the Aug. 8, 2024, killing of Dacia Mbongo.
The victim was located with a gunshot wound to his chest in a laneway between Lake Shore Boulevard East and Boardwalk Drive Road around 10:40 p.m. that day.
Mbongo was transported to the hospital, where he later died.

Homicide investigators executed search warrants in Toronto and Durham Region on Tuesday, resulting in three suspects being taken into custody.
They have been identified as 18-year-old Ricardo Willis, 19-year-old Lukiara Hunter-Wilmot and 26-year-old Kenneth Neil.
Willis and Neil are both facing second-degree murder and robbery, while Hunter-Wilmot has been charged with manslaughter and robbery.
The circumstances that led to the shooting remain unknown. Police recovered 11 shell casings that spanned a distance of about 70 metres down the laneway.
