Toronto police search for suspect after fight ends in stabbing in East York

Toronto police have released a photo of a vehicle that a suspect used to flee after allegedly stabbing a man in East York last week.

Officers were called to the area of O’Connor Drive and Yardley Avenue just before midnight on Jan. 3 for a stabbing.

Investigators have determined that two men were involved in a fight at the intersection of Westview Boulevard and Yardley Avenue between 11 p.m. and 11:25 p.m.

During the altercation, one man was stabbed several times, police said. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Meanwhile, police say the suspect fled in a newer silver or grey model vehicle, possibly a Hyundai Sonata.

The suspect is described as a white male with a thin build.
