Toronto police are searching for a suspect after a victim was stabbed during an attempted carjacking earlier this week.
Police say at about 8 p.m. on Jan. 7, a man approached the vehicle the victim was sitting in, in the area of Yonge Street and Steeles Avenue West.
They say the suspect opened the vehicle door and there was a struggle before the suspect stabbed the victim several times with a knife.
He then fled on foot, police say, and the victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Police describe the suspect as a white man and five-foot-ten, with a thin build.
He is considered armed and dangerous and anyone who sees him should call 911.
