Drivers using the Don Valley Parkway to get around the city will soon have a new long-term headache to deal with.
The city has announced that one northbound lane on the highway will be closed from the Eastern Avenue on ramp to Queen Street East as of Monday.
The lane restriction is part of the city’s rehabilitation project for four bridges in the area and is expected to remain in effect until the spring.
In advance of the closure going into effect, the city will also be closing the on ramp from Eastern Avenue to the DVP during the overnight hours on Sunday and Monday.
There will also be numerous lane restrictions on Eastern Avenue and Adelaide Street that will last until the spring.
Those are as follows:
- One eastbound and one westbound lane on Eastern Avenue will be closed between Sumach Street and Broadview Avenue.
- One eastbound lane on Adelaide Street will be closed between Sumach Street and Eastern Avenue.
