Toronto police seek help finding stolen suitcase containing Anishinaabe regalia

Toronto police are asking for the public’s help locating a suitcase containing a fully beaded Anishinaabe regalia that was stolen downtown on Saturday.

Police said the suitcase’s owner parked his vehicle in the area of Bay and Edward streets, west of Yonge Street, at around 2:30 a.m.

At some point, someone broke into the vehicle, stealing items inside, including the suitcase.

On Tuesday, police released photos of the suitcase and the regalia.

They are asking anyone with information about the suspects or the whereabouts of the stolen items to contact investigators at 416-808-5200 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477) or www.222tips.com.
