Senior seriously injured after being struck by driver of vehicle in Toronto’s Beach area

A pedestrian was hit on Feb. 1 in Toronto's beach area.

A wman in her 80s has been seriously injured after being struck by the driver of a vehicle in Toronto’s Beach area late Saturday afternoon, say paramedics.

The collision happened near the intersection of Queen Street East and Glen Manor Drive, which is between Woodbine and Victoria Park avenues.

Toronto police said they were called to that area just after 4 p.m.

The driver remained on scene.

Toronto Paramedic Services told CTV News Toronto that they transported one person to a trauma centre with serious, non-life-threatening injuries.

West Queen was closed, west of Glen Manor as police investigated, ut has since reopened.
