A Toronto man has been charged in connection with the 2024 murder of a 65-year-old man in Caledon.

The man, identified as 42-year-old Piotr Olszewski, is the second suspect arrested by Ontario Provincial Police in the death of Melancthon resident David Robson.

Olszewski has been charged with arson and accessory after the fact to murder.

On Tuesday, OPP announced that 29-year-old Jacek Trela of Mississauga was taken into custody and charged with first-degree murder, arson and indignity to a body.

The arrests come two years after Robson was found dead in the area of Chinguacousy Road and King Street on the morning of April 1, 2024.

The cause of his death was later determined as homicide.

Before he was found, Robson and his black 2017 Kia Sportage were reported missing on March 25, 2024. OPP said a fire also broke out at his home the same day.

Investigators even put up a billboard last month, a day before the two-year anniversary of Robson’s death, appealing for information.

Police said they believe “other individuals may be involved.” It is unclear whether the suspects knew the victim.

The motive is unknown in the homicide.

Homicide investigators are asking anyone with information to contact them at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
