$25K reward announced after gun safe containing ‘several’ firearms stolen during break-in at Beaverton, Ont. home

A $25,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of suspects who broke into a Beaverton, Ont. home and stole a gun safe, police say.

According to investigators, it happened on Feb. 17, 2026 at around 8:10 p.m. at a home near Thorah Concession Road 4 and Thorah Side Road.

Police the owner of the home left his house early in the morning and returned after 5 p.m. to find his front door open.

After searching the home, he discovered that a gun safe had been stolen. Police previously said that there were “several” firearms inside the safe.

“Durham Regional Crime Stoppers is now offering a $25,000 cash reward for any information that will assist investigators and lead to the arrest of the suspects,” a news release, issued Thursday, read.
