A man is in hospital fighting for his life after Toronto police say he was found “lying on the floor” with serious injuries after a robbery inside a Scarborough apartment building.
In an email, officials tell CP24 that officers responded to the area of Kingston Road and Lawrence Avenue East Saturday, shortly after 11 p.m. following an “unknown trouble” call inside an apartment building.
When officers arrived, they say they found the victim suffering from serious injuries. Police say he was transported to hospital, where his injuries were determined to be life-threatening.
Investigators say one adult woman has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault and robbery.
However, police say a second suspect remains outstanding, but no suspect description has been released.
The investigation is ongoing.
