2 injured, 1 critically, following collision involving a motorcycle in Scarborough

A motorcyclist is in critical condition following a crash Markham Road and Nugget Avenue in Scarborough on May 25.

Two people have been injured, one critically, following a crash involving a motorcycle in Scarborough on Monday afternoon.

The crash happened in the Malvern neighbourhood, near Markham Road and Nugget Avenue, just north of Sheppard Avenue East.

Toronto police said they were called to that area just before 2 p.m. for reports of a multi-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle.

A male motorcyclist was transported to the hospital via emergency run, they said. Police later described the motorcyclists injuries as life-threatening.

The other person, whom police said is the driver of the vehicle, who was transported to the hospital sustained non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

“The circumstances surrounding the collision will be part of the ongoing investigation,” a media officer said in a follow-up email to CTV News Toronto.
