A man is wanted after a person was assaulted while waiting for a streetcar in Toronto’s east end over the weekend.

It happened shortly after 4 a.m. Saturday near the intersection of Broadview Avenue and Danforth Avenue.

Investigators say the suspect and the victim were waiting at a streetcar stop when the suspect picked up a brick and assaulted the victim.

Police say the pair then boarded a streetcar, where they continued to exchange words.

The suspect is described as a man between 30 and 40 years old, standing five-foot-nine with a thin build and weighing between 165 and 175 pounds.

Police said he has brown facial hair and was last seen wearing a white shirt wrapped around his head, a black Under Armour T-shirt, black Adidas jogging pants with grey stripes and white Nike Air Force 1 shoes.
