One of the busiest intersections in downtown Toronto is now closed to most traffic—and it won’t reopen until later this summer.

TTC track work at Yonge and College streets started at 6 a.m. on Wednesday and the city says the project won’t be completed until mid-August.

That means all northbound, southbound, and westbound traffic will be prohibited through the intersection for the time being.

One eastbound lane will be kept open from Bay to Church streets, via College and Carlton streets. Northbound right turns are permitted at the intersection.
