Toronto police are asking the public for help locating a missing 63-year-old woman who was last seen in North York last weekend.
Police say the missing woman, identified as Ann Marie, was last seen near Eglinton Avenue East and Bermondsey Road, near Victoria Park Avenue, shortly before 6 p.m. on Aug. 8.
She is described as five feet, seven inches tall and has a slim build, with shoulder-length blonde hair. She was last seen wearing a white top, black pants, reading glasses, and brown running shoes.
Police say they are concerned for her safety.
Police say the missing woman speaks with a Scottish accent and is approachable but may be confused.
Investigators have escalated the incident to a Level 1 search, Duty Insp. Jonathan Rose told reporters at a command post on Tuesday morning.

“It is the highest priority search we have for missing people. It involves as many resources as we require, for example, K9, the mounted unit,” he said.
“We have our missing persons unit here to help. We also have our experts from emergency management to help with any ground search that may take place.”
He said officers have already searched the green space around the area she was last seen.
“We are also canvassing for video from commercial and residential properties in the area,” Rose said.
He added that police are asking any members of the public to review dash camera and other security video that could assist in the search.
“We are also requesting residents in the area to check your garages, sheds, or any other outbuildings that may be able to conceal someone who is confused and missing,” Rose said.
