Two seriously injured after Highway 400 crash in Vaughan

Two people were injured in a serious late-night crash on Highway 400 that closed a stretch of the highway for more than two hours for clean up and investigation

Two people are in hospital with serious injures after a two-vehicle collision on Highway 400 in Vaughan early Sunday morning.

Ontario provincial police said emergency crews responded to the southbound lanes between Teston Road and Rutherford Road at about 1:46 a.m.

The highway was fully closed in the area while emergency crews assessed those involved in the crash.

Two people were ultimately taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Officials say all southbound lanes reopened around 4:25 a.m.

The cause of the collision remains unknown at this time.
