This downtown Toronto hotel is rolling out the red carpet this Toronto International Film Festival in the form of a $1,000 cocktail that comes with a chauffeured ride in a Rolls-Royce.
Guests going for a pre-show cocktail at d|bar, tucked inside of the Four Seasons Hotel in Yorkville, can opt for a “tableside cocktail experience” by ordering the aptly-named The Final Cut XO Sazerac.
The cocktail, crafted by assistant d|bar manager Holly Forgrave, is brimming with high-end spirits. The Final Cut is primarily made of Remy Martin XO Cognac, and 16-year-old Lagavulin Single Malt Scotch Whisky, which retails around $350 and $175 a bottle at the LCBO, respectively.
The cocktail is complete with absinthe, Peychauds bitters, lemon oil and sugar. Oh, and a ride within a two-kilometre radius in the hotel’s new Rolls-Royce house car.
The experience is only on the menu once a night, available any time after 4 p.m. starting Sept. 8 throughout the duration of TIFF. It also has to be purchased at the bar, with no advance reservations.
The 51st edition of TIFF runs from Sept. 10 to Sept. 20.
