Police in York Region are searching for “at least” three suspects following what they’re calling a staged carjacking in Markham.
The robbery happened on Sunday near Major Mackenzie Drive East and Reesor Road.
York Regional Police (YRP) said they were called to that area at about 10:20 p.m.
Investigators say the driver of a dark-coloured sedan rear-ended the victim’s Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon.

The are no descriptive details for the third wanted person, whom police said was the driver of the suspect vehicle.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward. They’d also like to speak with anyone with video surveillance or dashcam footage from the area at the time of the incident.
