The eastbound lanes of Highway 407 were closed in Vaughan for several hours on Tuesday night due to a police investigation.
The closure was between Jane Street and Weston Road. Police said all Highway 400 ramps to Highway 407 were also closed.
There was no immediate word on what the investigation is about.
Police initially closed the highway in both directions but have since reopened the westbound lanes.
York Regional Police said Jane Street was closed between Steeles Avenue West and Exchange Way.
“No threat to public safety,” York Regional Police said in a post on social media.
