NEWMARKET, Ont. -- Police are looking for a man dressed in monk-style robes after they say a woman was sexually assaulted at a bus station north of Toronto.

Investigators say the woman was sitting by herself at a GO Transit bus station in Newmarket on Tuesday afternoon when the man walked up and sat next to her.

They say he then began to touch her inappropriately, and persisted even after she pushed him away.

York Regional Police say the man said nothing during the incident, which ended when the woman got on her arriving bus and the man walked off.

Police describe the suspect as a brown-skinned man, between 40 and 50 years old, six feet tall, 150 pounds with a shaved head and thin moustache.

They say he was wearing reading glasses in addition to the red robe.
