Mayor David Miller is blaming the province for the pending closure of several local pools.
Reports say $12 million is needed to keep the pools open for the next five years, but Miller says the city cannot afford to pick up the tab.
The mayor says the money is supposed to come from the province instead.
In total, 39 of the Toronto District School Board's 79 pools are slated to close by the end of this year.
