LONDON, Ont. - Police say a 24-year-old woman injured in a shooting in downtown London, Ont., early today is not from the southwestern Ontario city.

The woman was shot once in the back at around 3 a.m. at an apartment building at 71 King Street.

She is recovering in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Const. Dennis Rivest says there was a "gathering" at the apartment building at the time of the shooting and adds a gun was found in the parking lot.

Rivest says four suspects are in custody but wouldn't say if any of them is believed to be the shooter.

Police have not yet said what city the woman is from.
