Several accidents across the GTA have sent three people to hospital on Tuesday afternoon.

An elderly female driver is being treated for minor injuries after she struck a pedestrian safety zone at the centre of an intersection.

The collision happened just before the supper hour at Bathurst and Wilson Streets, near No Frills grocery store.

Luckily, no one was in the area at the time of the crash, but the car did flip onto its side.

Meanwhile, A Brinks truck and a small car collided on Lakeshore Boulevard sending two people to hospital.

Police say a car was coming off the ramp from the Westbound Gardiner when the driver made an illegal left turn onto Sherbourne Street.

A westbound Brinks truck was unable to stop and ploughed into the side of another car. The driver of that car, and the driver of the Brinks truck were both taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Police say charges could be laid.

In Scarborough, it was a van versus an ambulance near Lawrence and Warden Avenues this afternoon.

Police say it appears the van driver may have run a red light. The paramedic suffered minor injuries.
